Lifestyle and men’s health
What elements of lifestyle are negatively affected by men’s health?
- Poorly balanced diet – The lack of providing the body with all necessary nutrients and minerals can lead to partial malnutrition – even if your weight shows that you have a few unnecessary kilograms.
- Overweight and obesity – Fat gathering around the organs of the abdomen and pelvis smaller disrupts their functioning and relationships between them. In addition, the pressure in the abdomen increases, and this promotes constipation and weakens the pelvic floor muscles, leading to disorders in the functioning of the prostate and urination.
- Smoking – Nicotinism is a known factor in cancer. Carcinogenic substances contained in cigarette smoke damage cells and cause cancer. A strong correlation between smoking and cancer is noticed, among others in bladder cancer and lung cancer.
- Bad sleep mode – Sleeping too short, intermittent sleep and sleepless nights disturb metabolic and hormonal economy. Bad sleep hygiene can contribute to the destruction of the body and to mental disorders, e.g. depression. (1)
